If you like crowds, this is the beach to choose in the summer, especially during vacation time in July. It’s the most centrally located of all the major beaches in Stockholm, has an enormous lawn behind the sandy shoreline, and is within a stone’s throw of a city park, called Rålambshovsparken, that is a favorite among the natives of Stockholm. If you’re going there for some serious swimming, and want to avoid the crowds, then I’d recommend making an early start of it or planning to arrive late in the afternoon instead. You might even bring dinner with you—this is a nice place for a picnic!
