There are lots of ways to get from one place to another in Stockholm. Just like anywhere else in Sweden, you can walk, ride a bike or take the bus here, but the Swedish capital also offers more exotic transportation opportunities as well. If you’d like to travel by streetcar, steamboat or the only subway in the country, Stockholm is the place to be.
No matter where you find yourself in Stockholm, you’re never far from a bus stop, subway station or a ferry landing. Taxis are also plentiful—but rather expensive—so in most cases I’d recommend public transportation instead. It’s safe, clean, reliable and provides frequent service almost wherever you want to go.
